Market Box is a volunteer-driven mutual aid project that bulk-buys food from small farms and distributes it for free to 400+ households per month across the South Side of Chicago. Almost 10,000 deliveries in, we've turned an emergency pandemic response into a year-round, sustainable ecosystem. Our network is a place to generate community power, take care of one another, and exchange critical information as neighbors.

To deliver groceries to 400 families once a month with farm fresh produce, eggs, bread, and meat costs $11,000/month. A recurring donation helps ensure we can honor our commitment to South Side families, local farmers, and our network of volunteers. Can you commit $5, $25, or $100 a month?
